Our Students on Internationalisation

Our international students come to NUI Galway for many reasons, with different goals and ambitions in mind. What they all share is an abiding mix of experiences, memories and emotions. 

Regardless of their backgrounds and homelands, their arrival sets a significant challenge to live and learn in a new, and at times alien, environment and culture.  

Students from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Australia, North America and from across Asia joined this edition of Cois Coiribe, to bring their voice to the conversation around internationalisation and what it means to seek new opportunities in a foreign land in the midst of a pandemic.  

For some of our students, the enduring experience focuses on a new style of learning and education, or the value they themselves place on learning. For all of them it’s a deep sense of achievement, resilience and connection.
