The arrival of “Ellie” is not a standalone event; it is part of University of Galway’s broader, ongoing commitment to staff and student wellbeing. The University has been building a whole-of-university approach to mental health and wellbeing, embedding support, inclusion, and belonging into campus life. Elephant in the Room is the latest initiative to bring that commitment to life in a visible, public, and community-centred way.
